The Universities Marketing, Communications and Development Conference 2007 offers a unique opportunity to present your ideas and experiences to an audience that has a major influence on marketing, public relations, communications, media liaison, alumni relations and development in the tertiary sector.
Presenters will receive a discounted registration to the conference.
The Conference has three streams:
• Marketing • Development
• Communications
Submissions should be relevant to any of these streams. Each session will be chaired by a member of the organising committee or a delegate.
The Conference presentations have been allocated 55-minute time slots and should allow for questions and discussion.
Abstract requirements Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words. Please include a paragraph on how your paper will advance thinking and be of benefit to the delegates. Abstracts should be submitted by email to: Irene.Thavarajah@adm.monash.edu.au
Please include the following information (not included in the 250-word count) with your abstract submission:
- Full name and position of the presenter
- Brief biography of the presenter
- Proposed title of the presentation
- Contact details for the presenter – email address, postal address and contact telephone numbers.
Abstract format: So that the assessment team can compare apples with apples, please follow this four-step, easy-to-read format:
1. Heading
Title
Presenter
Presenter's title or position
University or organisation
2. Session Outline
About 70 – 80 words
3. Session Structure
Brief description followed by seven or eight dotpoints.
4. Session Learning Outcomes
Three or four dotpoints that will summarise what the delegates will learn or gain from the presentation.
Please note the following
- Conference papers will be published on the Universities Marketing, Communications and Development Conference website, and /or in printed proceedings.
- One person may submit more than one abstract submission.
