Linda Griffith has operated her own fundraising consultancy, specialising in education (universities primarily) since 1998.

The company has 2 strands: engagement, alumni relations and fundraising in one strand and grantmaking in the other strand.

She worked to establish a comprehensive, integrated engagement/alumni relations/fundraising program at James Cook University in 2007-8 and now advises JCU on strategic alumni relations and fundraising, as well as providing engagement training to academic staff. She is also consulting to Brisbane Grammar School on its capital campaign, as well as to the Australian Liver Foundation. She has consulted to multiple universities over the years, including to the AVCC.

She consults to Give2Asia in USA on grantmaking in Australasia and provides advice to significant clients of a leading international finance firm.

Prior to establishing her consultancy, Linda ran the fundraising programs at the University of Queensland where she helped establish the Development Office in 1988.

She is a University of Queensland Honours graduate, holds a Masters from the University of Strasbourg and a Masters and a Doctorate from the University of Paris-Sorbonne.

She was first accredited as a Certified Fund Raising Executive in1995. In 1998, she was honoured by the Association of Development and Alumni Professionals in Education (ADAPE) with the prestigious Trevor Wigney Award as “Australia’s outstanding alumni and development professional in education”. In 2000 she was made a life-time Fellow of ADAPE. She has served in a number of Committee positions with ADAPE, including as Queensland President. She is a highly rated public speaker.

She has worked extensively in fund raising; alumni relations; business; public relations; language work including interpreting, translation and teaching; and as an international print and radio journalist.
