Maureen has more than 20 years professional experience in senior marketing and communications roles covering a diverse range of industries - including higher education, healthcare, the arts, government, a world exposition and private consulting. Her expertise in crisis communications and issues management was particularly honed during five years as Public Relations Director for the Mater Misericordiae Hospitals in Brisbane, one of Australia’s largest collocated public and private hospital facilities. She has a strong understanding of the Australian higher education sector, having joined Griffith University as Communications Manager in September 2007, and also having spent seven years of her earlier career working for the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology.
